How to request deletion of your data
If you no longer want Way2net (or any business operating on top of our Way2Orbit platform — including WhatsApp Business integrations) to retain your personal data, follow the process below. We will action verified requests within 30 days.
What this page covers
Way2Orbit is a SaaS platform (operated by Way2net IT Services Pvt Ltd) used by Internet Service Providers and businesses for telephony, CRM, support ticketing, and WhatsApp Business messaging. We process personal data on behalf of those businesses (our customers) in a data-processor capacity — the customer is the data controller for their own end-users.
This means there are two paths to delete your data, depending on your relationship with us:
- You are a customer of one of our business clients (e.g. an internet subscriber, a support requester, or someone who messaged a business on WhatsApp through our platform) — contact that business directly. They control your data and can delete it on request. If they are unresponsive, we can intervene as their data processor — see the form below.
- You are a direct Way2Orbit user (employee or admin of a business that uses our platform) — submit the request directly to team@way2orbit.in.
Data we may hold
Depending on which features were used by the business processing your data, we may store:
- Contact details (name, mobile, email, address)
- Call detail records (CDR) — caller/callee numbers, timestamps, duration, recordings (subject to TRAI consent rules)
- Complaint / support ticket history
- WhatsApp Business message history (when the business has used our WhatsApp Cloud integration to send/receive on its WABA)
- Payment / invoice records (we retain these for the minimum statutory period required under Indian tax law)
- Authentication metadata (device fingerprint, IP, login timestamps)
How to submit a deletion request
- Email us at team@way2orbit.in with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
- Include the following in the body:
- Your full name
- The mobile number / email / username under which we hold your data
- The business (our customer) that processed your data, if known — helps us locate your records faster
- Which categories you want deleted (e.g. "all my data" or "only my WhatsApp message history")
- Verify your identity. We will reply within 2 business days with a one-time verification code sent to the contact method on file. Reply with the code so we can confirm you control that contact.
- Confirmation of deletion. Once verified, we will action the deletion within 30 days and send you a confirmation email listing what was removed and what (if anything) was redacted due to statutory retention.
WhatsApp Business message data
For users whose data was collected through the WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta Cloud API) operated by a Way2Orbit customer:
- Messages sent between you and the business are stored on our servers to fulfill the conversation and meet Meta's session/audit requirements.
- You can opt out of receiving WhatsApp marketing messages at any time by replying
STOPto any message — our system will block all further sends to your number automatically. - To delete the message history itself, follow the request process above. We will remove your messages from our database; Meta's own copy (held at Facebook for 30 days per their Business Messaging Policy) is outside our control and expires on Meta's schedule.
